  • I’m trying to use this special epspdfconversion package under TeXLive on any Linux system. I also successfully installed the included package, but when working with the command:

    pdflatex MyFile.tex
sh:epspdf: command could not be foundpdfTeX error: pdflatex (file MyImageFile-epspdf-to.pdf): canImage file not found ==> A fatal error has occurred, the output computer PDF file has not been created!

I’ve tried various variations of pdflatex --shell-escape (e.g. /, but without success. I’m definitely guessing that in the debug article “command not found” on this question – any ideas?

I have a little more information: trying to compile under latex (instead of the makefile used) results in the following possibility. I looked at the image “epstopdfDeclareGraphicsRule” where it should be unique (tex/latex/oberdiek/epstopdf-base.sty) and here it is. It is called regularly by the tex/latex/epspdfconversion/epspdfconversion.sty file, which I add to my top-level.cls list to perform the necessary conversions.

Interestingly, if I possibly do a carriage return, it will create a nice .dvi error file, which is currently can be converted to pdf.

Package warning: epstopdf drivers other than `pdftex.def' are not supported.)epspdfconversion.sty buys epstopdf.sty with the following configuration:update = truedetail = truepreferred suffix = true, suffix =-epspdf-at,There is no external torque option. Default: Same directory as the original .eps file.attach, activateepspdf is used with the main command:epspdf to ! Undefined monitoring sequence.l.345epstoppdfdeclarographicsrule .epspdf.pdf{%

If the public wants to convert an eps file to a pdf file, then epstopdf is obviously a really good and valuable tool. To install it, you need to download the texlive-font-utils package:

    sudo apt-get set texlive-font-utils
