I’m running an Exchange2003 Enterprise Server in Cluster mode a few days ago, a particular active server went down (causes not discussed here) and the cluster services can’t be fully deployed on the passive server, in particular the MSA resource will couldn’t travel (it happened twice, but thankfully it was a weekend so users didn’t experience service provider crashes. and after troubleshooting after troubleshooting, I upgraded to an active server and resumed service from it, but that server was working from time to time and thus terminating the service was always correct (with an error after 419). So actually the heartbeat adapter is disabled, but the bugs are still not fixed.
